Redline Group Ltd. is actively recruiting a skilled Project Manager – Defence to join our client, a leading organization specializing in the design and manufacture of bespoke computing platforms. Our client’s product range is diverse, encompassing mobile tablets, ruggedized boxed computers, complex rack systems, and cutting-edge IoT platforms, all engineered to perform reliably in extreme and harsh environments. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of critical technology solutions for the Defence industry.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Comprehensive Project Planning: Develop and execute detailed project plans, encompassing budget allocation, resource management, and precise scheduling, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Collaborative Project Execution: Work closely with cross-functional teams across the business, fostering a collaborative environment to guarantee projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in adherence to all cost constraints.
• Multi-Project Management: Oversee a dynamic portfolio of projects, managing both short-term express projects (1-3 months) and long-term engineering projects (1-9 months) with equal diligence and efficiency.
• Resource Planning and Budgeting: Provide critical input regarding technical and engineering resource requirements to support accurate business planning and budgeting processes.
• Dependency and Risk Management: Proactively identify key project dependencies, critical paths, and potential constraints, implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven track record in project management, specifically within the development of electro-mechanical and/or computer hardware products.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively, consistently meeting stringent time, cost, and budgetary requirements.
• Strong understanding and practical application of ISO 9001 standards or other recognized professional and process-driven methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project (or equivalent project management software), including expertise in Gantt charting, task scheduling, and resource planning.
• Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to identify and manage critical dependencies, critical paths, and project constraints.
• Experience within the Defence sector is highly desirable.
• A recognized project management qualification, such as Prince 2, is a significant advantage.

Security Clearance:

• This role requires the successful candidate to obtain BPSS Security Clearance.
