🙌 About the Role
As a Support Worker with United Response, you’ll be working hands-on with people who need extra support to live independently. Your role will involve helping individuals with day-to-day activities, encouraging personal growth, and ensuring they have access to the same opportunities as everyone else.
You’ll be working flexibly across day and night shifts to provide 24/7 support – and although experience with complex needs is important, we’ll ensure you’re fully trained and supported every step of the way.
💼 What You’ll Be Doing
Every day as a Support Worker is different – and that’s part of what makes this role so rewarding! Here’s what your key responsibilities will include:
💡 Empowerment & Independence
- Encourage people to live as independently as possible
- Offer support with decision-making and personal choices
- Help individuals pursue their hobbies, interests, and life goals 🎨🎶
🧼 Daily Support Tasks
- Assist with personal care, if required, in a respectful and dignified manner
- Support in preparing meals, attending appointments, or going shopping 🛍️
- Help with cleaning, managing medication, or mobility assistance
📱 Using Technology (Nourish App)
- Use our digital care platform Nourish to log notes, review care plans, and ensure each person’s needs are met
- No worries if you’re not tech-savvy — full training will be provided! 💻📲
🧾 Requirements
To be considered for this role, you’ll need to meet the following:
✅ Experience in supporting individuals with complex needs
✅ A Full UK Driving Licence – and the ability to drive a manual vehicle
✅ A strong sense of empathy, compassion, and respect
✅ Flexibility to work days and nights, including weekends and public holidays
✅ A true passion for helping others and being a reliable team player 🤝
