Core Functions:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer, Water Engineering to join our Water team, in various South East locations. You will work on some of the UK’s largest water infrastructure projects for clients such as Thames Water, Wessex Water , and Severn Trent Water. You will deliver designs that prioritize innovative and sustainable solutions on collaborative platforms. You will have opportunities for professional development from day one, and you will be a key member of a diverse and growing team.
As a Senior Civil Engineer, Water Engineering , you will be responsible for leading the design on small to medium-sized projects while coordinating with internal multi-disciplinary design teams and external project delivery stakeholders. You will provide technical input into proposals, feasibility studies, reference designs, detailed designs, and technical specifications.
You will mentor, oversee, or manage design staff while being a core member of the regional water engineering team, delivering design work for water company AMP8 requirements and beyond. You will also be a part of our wider technical practice network, allowing you to build your knowledge, skills, and career with like-minded engineers globally.
Qualifications
We recognise a variety of experience and backgrounds may suit this role and that experience levels in specific technical areas may vary. If you feel you only meet some of the requirements below but have transferrable skills and are looking for a career in the Water sector, then appropriate transitional training will be provided.
Your expertise:
- Be an engineer or senior engineer in civil engineering with experience in the Water, Utilities, Oil & Gas or Transportation industries.
- Have demonstrable experience in multi-disciplinary engineering design
- Be proactive in proposing new approaches or ways of working to solve problems
- Have strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues, clients and stakeholders
- Deliver continuous professional development and take an active approach to drive development of more junior staff in the team
- Be a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer or be actively working towards this status
