Junior Data & BI Developer G11

Our Junior Data and BI developer role is a great development opportunity for someone who is as interested in and enthusiastic about data as we are!
The purpose of this role is to support the development and implementation of data solutions that turn raw data into useful insights and develop Azure-native services and ELT flows within a source controlled, sprint-based team, from a wide range of data sources.

You will have the opportunity to work in a great team of skilled BI and Data Developers, and be supported to learn and develop new skills to help you progress your own skills and knowledge in this area.

• Analyse problems and suggest a solution.
• Development, with guidance, of ELT pipelines and control flows.
• Development, with guidance, of models to provide capability for data reporting and analysis.
• Use Git and DevOps to develop and maintain standardised, automated solutions.
• Work with analysts in development of Power BI visualisations.
• Work with stakeholders, and gather requirements, to maximise BI capabilities.
• Maintain and constantly improve data capabilities by reviewing processes and systems.

• Knowledge of Azure native data services, particularly Data Factory and Databricks.
• An understanding of working in an agile team, with Azure DevOps, Git integration and release pipelines.
• Some experience with SQL.
• Some experience of Power BI.
• A working knowledge of dimensional modelling concepts.
• A good communicator, who is able to support turning business needs into requirements and technical specs.
• A determined problem solver, with an analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Good stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management capabilities.

Salary circa £42,000 depending on experience
35 hours per week

Our office is based in Linford Wood, Milton Keynes
Hybrid remote in Milton Keynes, MK14
