Internal Sales Representative

📅 Salary: £27,000 – £29,000 per annum (DOE) + Bonus

We are on the hunt for a proactive and enthusiastic Internal Sales Representative to join our dynamic area sales team. You’ll play a vital role in achieving volume, revenue, and profitability targets while becoming an integral link between customers and various internal departments.
The Purpose of Your Role
As a key player in our area sales team, you will:
- Contribute actively to meeting and exceeding budgeted sales targets
- Build strong relationships with new and existing customers within specific regions
- Support both internal and external sales teams, the wider commercial departments, and the customer service centre
- Drive our goal of growing sales, enhancing service quality, reducing complaints, and becoming our customers’ go-to supplier
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) to maximise volume, revenue, and product mix opportunities
- Generate new business through smart prospecting and lead generation
- Utilise tools like Barbour ABI and LinkedIn for building accurate call lists
- Manage customer accounts using tools such as 5-minute planners and Customer Management Plans (CMPs)
- Record all interactions using Arvensis and/or CRM systems
- Handle end-to-end account management including addressing customer queries and complaints professionally
- Follow up on all system quotes in a timely manner, tracking success and archiving as necessary
- Collaborate with the Bid Team and other departments for local government tenders or major contracts
- Assist the Cash Sales team with qualification and pricing of new opportunities
- Be responsible for producing accurate reports such as GZ and ancillary pricing
- Support your TSM/FSM with special projects and tasks
- Attend and contribute to regional sales meetings
Qualifications & Skills
- A strong educational background (GCSEs, A-Levels, or equivalent Diplomas)
- Familiarity with standard office software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Previous experience in a similar sales or account management role is an advantage
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and a real team player
