Overview:
We are a prominent Global Real estate business with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional services to our clients. As we embark on a significant contract award, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TUPE Specialist to join our dynamic HR team in the UK. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating the smooth transfer of UK employees during the transition of a large global contract award, ensuring compliance with TUPE regulations and maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders involved.
Position: Transitions Project Lead – 3 months FTC
Location : Home Based in Midlands or Derby area (with the flexibility for travel to Derby and/or Bristol when required)
Reporting to : Head of People Experience – UK Work Dynamics
Responsibilities :
Manage TUPE Transfer Process: Lead and execute the entire TUPE transfer process for a service provision change impacted approximately 320 employees transferring in as a part of the large contract award comprising of; facilities management teams, engineers and cleaners. Providing support for the seamless transfer of an additional 80 employees on an additional contract award.
Legal Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to TUPE regulations and guidelines throughout the transfer process, safeguarding the rights and employment conditions of the affected employees
Coordination with HR Centres of Excellence: Collaborate with various HR centres of excellence, including but not limited to recruitment, benefits, and payroll, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to the transfer process.
Data Analysis: Analyse the existing terms of employees, and where possible, harmonise terms to those offered by JLL in compliance with TUPE legislation.
Client-Facing Meetings: Provide support in client-facing meetings to address any HR-related questions, concerns, or updates related to the TUPE transfer.
Communication and Employee Support: Act as the main point of contact for employees involved in the TUPE transfer, ensuring clear communication and providing support throughout the process. Address any queries or uncertainties promptly and professionally.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive working relationships with the incumbent contractor and other relevant external stakeholders to facilitate a smooth transition.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare all necessary documentation and reports related to the TUPE transfer, ensuring accuracy and completeness for both internal and external purposes.
Risk Assessment: Identify and assess any potential risks associated with the transfer process and work proactively to mitigate them.
HR Policy Implementation: Collaborate with the HR team to ensure that HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented during the transfer, ensuring consistency and fairness for all employees.
Qualifications and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration and/or CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) qualification is desirable but not essential.
Extensive experience in managing TUPE transfers in a real estate or similar industry, with a solid understanding of TUPE regulations and its practical application.
Strong knowledge of employment law and its impact on the transfer process.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with employees, clients, and external stakeholders effectively.
Demonstrated ability to handle complex HR issues and sensitive employee matters with tact and confidentiality.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Proven track record in successfully managing and executing large-scale TUPE transfers.
