Our fast-paced and exciting organization is currently looking for a dedicated HR Officer to join our HR department on a temporary basis, covering maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to become an integral part of a dynamic team, work across multiple sites, and make a real impact on our workforce.
As a crucial member of our small HR team, reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, you will act as the primary point of contact for on-site colleague queries. You will also provide essential administrative support and contribute to key HR projects.
Your Responsibilities as an HR Officer:
- Ensure the accurate compilation of weekly and monthly payroll processes, maintaining precision and efficiency.
- Conduct thorough new starter inductions, guaranteeing full compliance with company policies and accurate system updates.
- Manage the electronic training system, monitor compliance with training requirements, and maintain auditable records.
- Provide support to managers and colleagues across two sites by addressing first-line HR queries promptly and effectively.
- Manage maternity, paternity, and absence processes, ensuring adherence to legal and company guidelines.
- Assist with Employee Relations (ER) cases as needed, contributing to fair and efficient resolutions.
- Maintain high standards in all HR administration tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Oversee the Occupational Health Surveillance process across both sites, promoting employee well-being and compliance.
What We’re Looking For in an HR Officer:
- Experience in an HR administrative role, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
- A genuine passion for working with people and delivering excellent HR services.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK for the entire duration of the appointment.

What We Offer You:
- Salary: £28,000.00 – £30,000.00 per year.
- Contract: Full-time, Temporary (12 months).
- Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday.
