Position Overview
In order to foster and grow new Puratos talents and further strengthen our Operations team in UK, we are currently looking for a:
Global Graduate Trainee – CapEx
This three-year program, based in different geographical areas, is an ideal opportunity for a high-potential graduate to embark on a career journey with international exposure within our company and perform three assignments, as each assignment is set to last for about one year.
Ideally, we envision that you will be spending the first year at our site in Simonswood (UK), then one year abroad, and finally a year at our site in Buckingham (UK).
You will report directly to the Regional Operations Director, and as time goes by, you will be working on more and more important projects.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage specific CapEx projects – from concept through feasibility study to execution:
- Define the scope of the project(s) with stakeholders
- Find a solution that meets the scope, including cost and timing
- Gather and assess multiple quotes to carry out the work
- Ensure the safe installation of equipment on time and to budget
- Ensure users are trained effectively with a particular eye to safety and quality
- Review the project to take highlight learnings and share
- Help to manage CapEx portfolios – identify discrepancies and help to correct:
- Monitor PowerSteering to ensure “live” projects are correctly recorded
- Compile CapEx proposals for Next Year for review prior to submission deadlines
- Support maintenance management:
- review and amend preventative maintenance plan to improve effectiveness
- Review and update work instructions/SOPs with maintenance staff
- Help maintenance staff in improving workshop 5S
- Monitor on-site contractor management processes to ensure safety at all times, and continuous improvement
Required Competencies
- You have recently finished your studies related to Engineering – ideally mechanical, process or chemical
- You are fluent in English and ideally able to speak additional language(s)
- You might have experience from relevant work during your studies
- You have an international mindset and good cultural understanding
- You are process oriented, disciplined and open to learning new things
- You can work independently and take ownership, as well as work in bigger teams with other functional experts
- You have the required knowledge of MS Office and perhaps Solidworks and/or Autocad
- You are ready to travel 30% within UK as well as to spend minimum one year abroad
