Walters People: Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst – Nottingham – Permanent – 35k – 40k + Study support – Highly remote with travel to the Nottingham office 3-4 days per month
I’m currently working alongside a leading business based in Nottingham in their recruitment of a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join the central finance team. You will be reporting into the FP&A Manager and undertaking wide ranging financial analysis and the production of a variety of weekly, monthly and ad-hoc financial reports.
Key Responsibilities of the Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst:* Producing weekly sales reports, including insight for senior management/Executive Committee* Producing monthly financial reports and variance analysis* Supporting with the businesses annual budgeting, forecasting and strategic long-term planning cycles* Producing comparative analysis across joint venture businesses to identify opportunities for improvement* Continually developing processes to improve efficiencies across current reporting models* Supporting the development of future reporting models to drive efficiencies and increase profitability across our joint venture partners* Producing monthly reporting packs for both internal and joint venture partners and delivering insight into drivers of financial performance* Supporting the development and production of the joint venture business long term financial models used to demonstrate potential returns to joint venture partners and to support investment cases to group treasury
About you as the Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst:* Part qualified accountant or a finalist (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)* Strong system and Excel skills* Experience and knowledge of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash flow for management reporting* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal* Previous experience in an FP&A role would be preferable* Strong attention to detail* Able to balance working independently with appropriate escalation* Self-motivated to provide an excellent level of support for key stakeholders
