Compensation: A competitive salary ranging from £45,000 to £50,000 per annum (pro-rata), reflecting your expertise and contributions.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

  • Strategic Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including meticulously detailed budgets, precise resource allocation strategies, and realistic project schedules.
  • Collaborative Team Leadership: Foster seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budgetary constraints.
  • Portfolio Management: Expertly manage a diverse portfolio of projects, encompassing both short-term initiatives and complex, large-scale engineering undertakings.
  • End-to-End Project Oversight: Direct projects from their initial conception through to successful completion, consistently adhering to industry-leading project management methodologies.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular, transparent, and informative project updates and progress reports to all relevant stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and strengthen robust customer relationships through proactive and effective project communication.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and report key project performance indicators (KPIs), implementing timely escalation procedures when necessary to address potential issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Conduct thorough project analysis, leveraging lessons learned to drive ongoing improvements in project management processes.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal project outcomes.
  • Action and Issue Management: Maintain and manage project action, issue, and risk registers, ensuring all items are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Resource Planning: Contribute to technical and engineering resource planning to support business objectives and budgeting processes.
  • Status Reporting and Presentation: Prepare and present detailed project status reports to facilitate informed resource allocation and prioritization decisions.
  • Resource Negotiation: Skillfully negotiate resource allocation with key business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project needs.
  • Deliverable Alignment: Ensure seamless alignment across all teams regarding project deliverables and deadlines.
  • Process Optimization: Maintain consistency in project management processes, including the continuous updating of best practice methodologies.
  • Tool and Procedure Enhancement: Actively participate in the ongoing enhancement of project management tools and procedures, driving efficiency and effectiveness.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • A background in electromechanical manufactured products or the defense industry is highly advantageous.
  • Proven ability to drive results and achieve project objectives through strong project management skills.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • Flexible working arrangements: Informal hybrid working options are available.
