UK announces Fully Funded 75 Scholarships
Wonderful news for the international students who are planning to come to the UK for pursuing their Master’s degree program. On 29th June, the UK Government made a big announcement. The UK government has partnered with prominent businesses in India to offer 75 fully funded 75 scholarships for Indian students to study in the UK effective from September 2022.

The program offered entails Chevening scholarships for a master’s program for 1 year, with a chance to study any subject at any recognized UK University. Chevening is the UK government’s global awards system offered in 150 nations since 1983. India’s Chevening program is considered to be the largest in the world with over and above 3,500 alumni. The 75 scholarships will be completely funded for Indian students in the UK from September.
The fully funded scholarship worth approximately £18000 (INR 15,81,259) covers tuition fees, living expenses, and travel expenditures for a one-year postgraduate program. A minimum of two years’ work experience is compulsory for applicants to be qualified for the award.
The UK government mentioned in their official statement that HSBC, Pearson India, Hindustan Unilever, Tata Sons, and Duolingo are assisting this initiative to celebrate India’s 75th year of independence.
HSBC India will fund 15 scholarships, Pearson India will fund two and Hindustan Unilever, Tata Sons and Duolingo will fund one in some measure as part of the 75 scholarships.
The British Council in India is delivering no less than 18 scholarships for women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) – including more than 12000 courses through over 150 UK Universities. Together with these, the British Council is offering six scholarships for English.
The primary aim of this scholarship is to encourage and support young people with immense talent and capability to become future leaders and decision-makers by leveraging world-class educational facilities.
