Should You Do A Masters?
Rosie Crawford, in her video, answers the question “Should You Do A Masters?” after dividing the theme into five different sections, namely, who, what, where, why, and when.
Who: Who are you doing this for? (Students need to take some time to sit down and think about what they want, is it that they want to learn more, is that they want to specialize more, is that they want to keep at university?) All of these reasons are acceptable as long as they are for you.
What: Students need to think about what subjects they enjoy, the subjects they want to specialize in
Where: It is extremely crucial for students to research and find out where they can learn best and in what style they will be able to learn well.
When: Again, do take the time to think about when you want to do it. Some students might consider taking a year out to work in the industry or take time out to look at scholarships or work for a year to fund the degree.
Why: Last but not the least, the most important point is to think about why you want to do it. It is crucial to reflect and think about all the reasons for and against pursuing a master’s degree.
