Role Overview:

We are looking for Ramp & Baggage Handling Operatives to join our team. Reporting to the Team Leader, BOH Supervisor, and BOH Duty Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth baggage handling and ramp operations. Your job will involve maintaining high-performance standards, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering excellent service to meet the requirements of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Ramp & Baggage Handling Operative, your role will include:

• Baggage Handling & Sortation: Efficiently manage baggage sorting processes, ensuring accurate flight setup using BRS and Brock scanners when required.
• Aircraft & Equipment Inspections: Perform routine aircraft inspections and conduct pre-trip, daily, and weekly equipment checks to ensure operational safety.
• Reporting Issues: Identify and report any faults or irregularities with equipment, facilities, or processes to the appropriate management team.
• Aircraft Support Operations: Assist in towing, pushback, and head-set duties, including direct communication with the flight deck following all safety protocols and training guidelines.
• Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Operations: Position and remove all required ground support equipment safely and efficiently for our customer airlines.

Who We’re Looking For:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

✅ Work History & Documentation: Provide a complete 5-year work, unemployment, or education history for security clearance.
✅ Proof of National Insurance: Valid documentation confirming your eligibility to work in the UK.
✅ Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
✅ Full & Valid UK Driving Licence: Required to operate ground service vehicles and equipment.
✅ Criminal Record Check & Airside Security Clearance: Successful candidates will need to pass background checks to work in secure airport areas.
